"I wrote Oregon To Washington while driving to a gig in Tacoma. I stopped in Eugene and spent some time in Hendricks park. The song is about the calming affect nature has. I envy the way animals exist in the moment without the constant neurotic thought that humans are afflicted with. Director Andrew Hooper and I did our best to capture that in the video. The end of the video and song features the cat Norm Lopez purring. He is a local celebrity here in Sacramento due to his friendliness and large girth.
